Imagine yourself dining with colleagues in Barcelona, having your morning coffee in a cafe in London, or looking out of your office window onto the bustling streets of Hong Kong.

Many people aspire to having international careers, but they don’t know how to realize their goals.

In this class, Jessica Smith, Head of Career Services, North America at IESE Business School (#1 MBA Europe, Economist; #7 Global MBA, Financial Times) outlines a variety of factors one should think through when considering a transition abroad. She will also discuss ways to find international jobs and provide insights from her own global experience of living/working abroad, as well as from her experience as a career coach.

About the Presenter

Jessica Smith has a degree in Finance from Hampton University. She has domestic work experience in finance for Johnson & Johnson and international work experience working at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management as a High Net Worth Private Banker for the Sports, Media & Entertainment industries in London. She has been working for IESE Business School for the last four years, first in MBA Admissions for Asia, the Middle East and Africa based out of Barcelona and the last two years working with MBA Admissions for the US, Canada and Mexico and as Head of Career Services for North America based out of IESE New York. Jessica also forms part of the MBA Admissions Committee. She completed her bilingual MBA at IESE in 2008.
