About the Presenter

Casey Cegielski, Ph.D. is the J.W. Woodruff Sr. Professor of Information Systems in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University. Dr. Cegielski is the author of more than 50 research articles that have appeared in numerous international information systems journals and proceedings and the co-author of the one of the most widely adopted information systems textbook in use in higher education: “Introduction to Information Systems: Enabling and Transforming Business.”

In 2006, with support from KPMG, LLP, Dr. Cegielski developed the nation's first interdisciplinary Information Security and Assurance programs in a college of business. He is an active cyber security consultant with more than 20 years of professional experience in the area of information security, serving as a senior IT security executive as well as an executive IT security consultant in the financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing industries. Dr. Cegielski holds several active professional certifications including CISSP, CISA, and CRISC.
