In this webinar, we will talk to Susan J. Ashford, professor of management and organizations at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Professor Ashord is the co-author of the recent Harvard Business Review Article, "5 Ways a Crisis Can Help You Cultivate a Growth Mindset." 

Difficult challenges often present valuable opportunities for personal and team growth. Professor Ashford will discuss specific ways leaders can encourage growth during a crisis. Learn how to take on new challenges and face new uncertainties in a way that helps you (and your team) emerge stronger than ever. 

Professor Ashford will also share examples of companies who have weathered crises and used their experiences to change the way they do business.

About the Presenter

Professor Susan J. Ashford is the Chair of the Management and Organizations Department at the Michigan Ross School of Business. She is also the Michael and Susan Jandernoa Professor of Management and Organizations. Professor Ashford is well-known for her research on leadership and leadership development, feedback, and surviving in the gig economy.  She is the recipient of two lifetime achievement awards from the Academy of Management, a worldwide professional association of academics and practitioners. In 2021, Professor Ashford will release a new book on how employees grow critical personal and interpersonal skills in service of their leadership development. She is a longtime faculty member at the University of Michigan, having taught previously at the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
