Senior Manager - Market ResearchGlobal Specialty Pharmaceuticals Company | Canonsburg, PA
Measure brand/ad awareness and usage patterns of Epipen and competitive brands. Quantify and profile Epipen patient segments to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs, attitudes, behaviors and motivations that drive marketplace demand.
Measure effectiveness of various marketing activities, calculate ROI by marketing channel to help inform an optimized mix of marketing channels for Strategic Planning Process. Design and maintain the pipeline product and strategic product forecasting (short-term and long range).
Gather and analyze market and competitive intelligence, which includes a database of competitive profiles of key competitor companies, R&D pipeline summary by therapeutic category (asthma, COPD, allergy), ongoing “alerts” to events, and information in the marketplace that may impact our brands
Conduct product performance monitoring and reporting, which includes providing weekly and monthly retail and institutional product and market updates providing weekly and monthly retail and institutional product and market updates (Rx trending, market share/growth, and specialty and indication segmented analysis) through NDC and IMS data. Determine the drivers of sales force excellence and competitive differentiation, and the indentification of opportunities to improve physicians perceptions’ of our sales force.
Develop and provide analysis to support strategic product planning, which includes Situational Analyses for each brand, market research necessary for developing and testing each products position, promotional concepts and messaging, on-going market analysis
Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Ensure budgets, schedules and performance requirements are met.
Require the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in dynamic situations. Manage progress of multiple projects at any one time. Coordinate, cooperate, and influence cross functional colleagues at all levels.
Compile data and process analyses with multiple functional approvals. Receive assignments in task and objective oriented terms.

Here are the minimum qualifications for this position:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent). Masters Degree (MBA or other) preferred, and minimum of 6 years of experience. A minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical market research, competitive intelligence, and forecasting. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry dynamics, of how the market operates, and of how physicians decide which product to choose and product demand.
In-depth knowledge and experience with pharmaceutical industry forecasting best practices
Must be a strategic and creative thinker with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Position functions autonomously. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
